About $140 million $ was invested in the new hotel located in central Tbilisi, Georgia. The majority of funds came from United Arab Emirates-based company Dhabi Group.
The 32-floor Biltmore Hotel Tbilisi project encompassed the renovation of the historic IMELI building and construction of a new "300-metre-high" glass skyscraper that towers over the city.
The Grand Opening ceremony took place on July 31, 2016. The project connected to the IMELI building via a glass walkway was designed by the architects Rob Krier and Christoph Kohl.
